Etiquette Wednesdays " Invitation Timeline"

I get phone calls all the time from brides asking if its too early for them to start looking at Invitations for their wedding. Here is a great time line that I always tell my brides to try and follow.

10-8 Months
* If your wedding is on a busy weekend like Memorial day or during the Holidays like Christmas, Now is the time to send out Save the dates for your local and out of town guests.
* Also if you are having alot of out of town guests.

6 months
*Pick a Stationer- Start looking around see what it is that calls your attention and try to find someone that sees your vision also
*Start collecting clippings of ideas that you like or color concepts or something that is significant from your wedding that you want to incorporate into paper.
* Start working on a design concept with your stationer and getting final designs proofed
* Start contacting calligraphers if you want the envelopes addressed in calligraphy

3 months
* Start addressing the envelopes, Place the stamps
* If using calligrapher, start sending the names and addresses all your guests along with any last minute add ons

6-8 Weeks
* Send out Invitations.

2 Weeks
* Start Calling guests that have not yet RSVP'd
