NACE Table Top Competition

Recently the lovely ladies from Divine Details asked me to help them with some paper goods for their upcoming NACE Table Top Competition. On Tuesday, November 17th the South Florida Chapter of NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) got together to display some of the greatest Event Designers in our local area. Here are some of the pictures from the Competition compliments of the very talented photographers from NEOART.
Here we created the table name with the same Moroccan lace at the bottom.
An overview of the table setup.

We also made custom placecards and of course custom pillows with the same matching jewels from the menus.

The table was adorned with beautiful jewel color flowers from the very talented Rick from Avant Gardens.
And here are the talented ladies from Divine Details with their FIRST PLACE PRIZE!! Congratulations ladies it was truly creative and one of a kind.

Move Over Chiavari!!
Well not quite yet!! These Ghost Chairs are my newest obsessions. They come in a variety of Clear coated tints. Most of all I think what draws me to them the most is how they react when the different color lights bounce off of them. If only they were cheaper to rent, they usually go for about $45-$50 each one and pretty hard to find from local renters.

And for those of you that just love the silhouette of the Chiavari, here is the ghost version of it.

Etiquette Wednesdays "NO KIDS PLEASE"
Some couples, for reasons of their own, do not want children to attend their wedding reception. The reasons for this may range from trying to lower costs by trimming wedding guests from the list, to simply not wanting to put up with potential crying, wailing, or hyperactivity on the part of the little guys.
If you are thinking about the option of an Adults Only wedding reception, its critically important that you consider the matter carefully and realize that some may indeed find this to be a tad offensive, ungracious, or downright cold. Weddings are not typically adult only events - in fact, throughout history, children have played an important role in the symbolism associated with weddings - and therefore some might be offended that you are dictating that they must leave their little ones at home.
Ultimately however, your wedding day is YOUR day and the bottom line is that you have a right to be happy and have it your way on this one day out of your entire life. If, after carefully considering this, you decide that this is the way it is going to be, you should follow the following rules for this delicate situation
Indicate that the reception is to be adults only by having the words "Adults Only Reception" or "Adult Reception" printed along with the reception location and time on the invitation.
Do not use phrases such as NO KIDS, NO CHILDREN, etc. The only correct wording is Adult Reception or Adults Only Reception.
If you are excluding some children, the rule is that you must exclude all children. There must not be different rules for different people or some individuals will be deeply offended and hurt - and rightly so. The only possible exception to this would be any children who are in the wedding party. However, the jury is out in this area. While some etiquette experts feel that it may be alright to make this exception, there is a stronger belief that if the reception is to be adults only, no children should be included as part of the wedding party.

Tatiana & David Go Green!!
Tatiana came to me looking for a specific brand in mind, and left with a totally customized concept for her wedding invitations. We took the idea for this invitation from another sample I had in Blue and Silver and she wanted to add some flair to it, so we went with a bold green patterned paper as accents. Time was of the essence for her, as her wedding is only a few weeks away. We had to rush the whole process and we were lucky we were able to produce quality work in under two weeks from start to finish. .JPG)
