Wedding Geneology
Here is something pretty cool that I came across from another fellow artist. "Wedding Genealogies" They are customized charts, similar to a family tree, that detail the relationships of the bride and groom to all of their wedding guests. Great for the cocktail hour and receptions, these charts fill guests in on who’s a friend from childhood, a neighbor, a family member, and more. Wedding Genealogy charts also serve as a lovely piece of wedding memorabilia. The creative and talented Elana and Julie of Melangerie. Each Chart runs between $475- $600

They call me Mellow Yellow!
I am really feeling inspired by everything yellow. I love the new 2009 designs we have in the store but most of all I love this Yellow and Black "Birdy" design that just came in. .
I love the subtle Yellows and Greys. This invitation is from a very creative artist and her company Pearl and Marmalade
This is a beautiful invitation from Kate Spade in black and yellow
These are so elegant and clean
Plum and Navy Combination
On Jan 31st, I joined forces with my friend Jodi Rambarran of Jodi Youst events with a beautiful wedding she was working on at Vizcaya. I just loved how fresh and the abundance of flowers there were everywhere. The florist made custom vases made out of birch and custom birch topiaries for the beautiful collaboration of purples, blues and pink flowers. Here are some pictures that I took. Please forgive my amateur photography.

Hold the Tissue!!
Tissue paper once had a purpose in the traditional invitation ensemble. Old printing processes would leave the ink wet on the invitation, so the tissue paper was used to keep the ink from smearing on the card above it. Since then, tissue paper has become more a formality, since its purpose has become obsolete as printing has improved over the many years. So in short, tissue paper isn't necessary. If you're aiming for a traditional ensemble with all the formalities, you will want to include it. But it certainly isn't a must-have for practicality or for etiquette purposes
